…and a bit about me

Taking a break on the Appalachian Trail

Born in Melbourne, Australia, I was always destined to travel. I moved away at the ripe old age of 3 to a remote community in the Northern Territory. This commenced a life living with my family in a number of remote places throughout Australia.

After completing university in Wollongong (near Sydney), I joined the oil & gas industry in Perth, Western Australia. As a global industry, this enabled me to travel for various work-related & personal trips. My last role was on the leadership team of one of the world’s largest gas production plants in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

At the end of the pandemic, I made the difficult decision to step away from an industry that had given me so much opportunities and prioritise my love of travel. I reached that point where I realised that I wanted more from life than a “successful” career. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds, experiencing different cultures, and exploring everything the world has to offer.

So without a specific goal I took the plunge and left the corporate world behind, which has opened up a whole new opportunity to find new experiences, new friends, new perspectives. And if I’m fortunate maybe even find myself…
